The Ekaterina Palace (Village of tsars ) is located in Pushkin, about 30 km from St. Petersburg, the place where Empress Elisabeth, the daughter of Piotr I, built her palace, and then the great Empress Ekaterina completed the palace and made it one of the most beautiful palaces in Russia. Many of the halls are perhaps the most famous and most beautiful amber hall, which was completely rebuilt after the palace was exposed to mass destruction in World War II.
The Great Ekaterina Palace also features its magnificent gardens and additional halls that have been built to be the venue for special events held by the Empress for its guests such as the Hermitage building, Turkish bath and other buildings and attachés in this great palace.
